History of AED

As the once booming steel mill industry in the Youngstown, Ohio area began to rapidly decline and the massive steel mill facilities became either completely dilapidated requiring total decommissioning or in desperate need of facility remediation, AED pioneered many of the technologies and techniques used to dismantle the heavy industrial structures. Established in 1973 in Youngstown, Ohio, Allied Erecting & Dismantling Co. Inc. has since remained and grown throughout many challenges and decades of experience.

Beginning with 4.5 acres and 3,200 sq. ft. of office space, AED has experienced tremendous growth over the past 35 years, now spanning nearly 300 acres in the Youngstown, Ohio area. In December 1998, the ACI companies, utilizing AED services, completed the current 24,000 sq. ft. corporate office and currently have a 470,000 + square foot facility expansion underway.
